Lara Dutta Love story

Armed Forces of India seem to be giving a lot to India - tough soldiers to protect the borders and beautiful girls to become goodwill ambassadors. Children of many Army officers have won Miss India titles and went on to win the world titles of Miss World and Miss Universe. Few of these achievers from the families of Armed forces are Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra etc. Miss Universe competition not only looks for beauty, but also grades the contestants on different parameters. Reaching finals is an achievement and for winning, one must answer the Finalist Interview question very carefully and meaningfully. Lara Dutta love for India and her intelligent personality got her the highest marks in the Miss Universe contest. Lara Dutta love and passion is to help spread AIDS/HIV awareness.

Lara, after winning Miss Universe title, Lara traveled all over the world to help create AIDS/HIV awareness. Lara is also involved with 'Americans for AIDS Research' and 'Harvard AIDS Institute'. Another notable Lara Dutta love is to help children born with HIV and drug addiction. Lara is striving sincerely with an international campaign, which is focused on increasing global awareness of women's rights.

Lara was born on April 16, 1978 to Wing Commander L.K. Dutta (retired) and Jennifer Dutta. This five feet eight inch tall beauty from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh became Miss India in 2000 went on to become Miss Universe in the same year. She also became Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), in 2001.Lara has two elder sisters, one of whom is serving Indian Air Force. Lara did her schooling from Frank Anthony Public School in Bangalore and graduated in Economics from Bombay University. Lara Dutta love for education can be noticed in her quote 'poorly educated teenagers usually grow up to be poorly educated adults'.

Lara got interested in modeling career. She won the prestigious annual Gladsrags modeling competition in India and went on to win Miss Intercontinental pageant in 1997.Lara Dutta love for modeling got her into the Hindi film industry.

Lara Dutta made her film debut with the film Andaaz in 2003. In this first movie, her commendable acting won her Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. Lara Dutta love for acting got her many more films -Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost, Masti, Bardaasht, Aan, Insan, Elaan, Jurm, ,No Entry, Kaal, Ek Ajnabee, Dosti, Zinda, Bhagam Bhag, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and many more will certainly come her way. This intelligent girl feels that in the film industry, intelligence can be a disadvantage. Despite this, she is doing well in hindi film industry.

Lara Dutta love for playing an 'item girl' got satisfied with a special appearance in song - Aisa Jadoo in Khakee. This song went on to become a super hit song. Lara also did another special appearance in song Sabse Alag in a 2006 movie Alag.

Lara loves to read books. She seems to have read thousands of books Lara Dutta love for reading books also made her think better. Her favorite book is Thorn Bird by Colleen Mc Collough. And she says, this book set her thinking about various aspects of life and how to respond. 

Lara Dutta love for adventure sports like rock climbing and bungee jumping is commendable. She likes to watch movies of Mel Gibson, Robert De Niro, Sanjeev Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Jodie Foster, Michelle Pfeiffer & Kajol. Lara Dutta love for good italian food is known to her friends and she claims that she freaks out on Pastas.
